Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Process System Solution

As a Field Service Engineer in the Process System Solution business unit, your role will involve supporting our customers (mainly in pharma and chemical plants) by delivering activities such as maintenance, troubleshooting, incident resolution, technical support, system upgrades, warranty services, training, configuration/modifications, and on-call services for DeltaV DCS. You will be part of our Lifecycle Services team, which helps customers maintain, secure, and enhance the performance of their DeltaV DCS systems. We look forward to your application!

Responsibilities:

• Perform system maintenance and performance evaluations.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and recommend solutions.
• Offer remote technical assistance via phone and internet for DeltaV DCS users.
• Participate in on-call shift services and emergency call-outs to ensure prompt customer support.
• Assist with design studies, hardware and software upgrades, and modifications.
• Support project activities at customer sites, including system installation and application programming.
• Deliver on-site training for Emerson products.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and products relevant to your role.

Requirements:

• Technical diploma or degree in engineering (electronics, automation, computer science, mechanical/electrical preferred).
• Knowledge of IT & networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, programming software, operating systems, Active Directory, patch management, backup, and recovery.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in the process industry, such as biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, oil & gas, or refineries.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DCS or PLC applications (knowledge of DeltaV DCS is an advantage).
• Start-up and commissioning experience in process automation.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Availability to work outside regular hours, including weekends, for customer support and call-outs.
