A global market leader in automation is seeking a Service Engineer to commission and maintain ABB Marine Azipod propulsion units. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in electrical or power engineering, possess over 2 years of relevant experience, and be skilled in technical documentation and troubleshooting. This Position reports to :
Service Team Leader
In this role you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact as you will be accountable for :
Bachelors or masters degree in electrical, power engineering or automation with over 2 years of experience in commissioning or servicing relevant systems. Shipbuilding experience and ABB product knowledge are a plus.
You have a strong ability to read and interpret technical documents (e.g. datasheets, electrical drawings, P&ID diagrams) and good understanding of industrial and marine power generation / distribution processes.
You are familiar with MS Office and preferably ABB-specific tools.
You are at ease communicating in English and Italian and willingness to travel globally on short notice by various means of transport. Valid car drivers license and ability to work within an Italian service organization serving international customers.
You like working in a responsive, flexible and dedicated way with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to going the extra mile.
You are effective in both team environments and working independently with the ability to perform under pressure and stay focused on targets.
You possess excellent communication skills, creative thinking and strong troubleshooting abilities to tackle complex challenges.
