We are currently looking for a Field Sales Specialist in Food Safety to join our team in our award-winning business in Italy, specifically based in Piemonte or Lombardi region.

At Neogen, we partner with our customers to protect and enhance the world’s level of food and animal safety. By offering a diverse suite of solutions for the food, beverage, animal protein, and agriculture industries, we empower our customers to safeguard their brands and create better products. We also collaborate with companies in the companion and performance animal industries, as well as in life sciences and toxicology.

Our team supports the Indian, European, Middle Eastern, and African (iEMEA) territories for Neogen Corporation, a top-performing NASDAQ-listed company employing over 2,000 people worldwide.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Manage and grow business in the assigned territory for all Neogen food safety products, with a focus on Microbiology products.
  2. Develop and generate sales to meet or exceed budget targets.
  3. Devise and implement a business plan based on business requirements for the territory.
  4. Support and generate new business with existing direct accounts, identifying opportunities to cross-sell and expand.
  5. Report to and liaise closely with the Divisional Manager for Italy.
  6. Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
  7. Maintain an excellent understanding of the products and services offered, as well as national requirements.
  8. Demonstrate all test kits to potential customers.
  9. Provide first-level customer support regarding technical issues, complaints, and product applications.
  10. Use CRM extensively to provide updated and accurate information.
  11. Assist with financial management of the territory, including setting budgets, forecasting, and preparing reports.

About you:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly motivated, driven, with excellent organizational skills, and able to work as part of a team.
  • A life science, food-related, or other technical degree is desirable.
