A leading chemicals distribution company in Italy is seeking a Field Sales professional responsible for managing sales territory and fostering customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Chemistry, technical sales experience, and strong communication skills. This position requires 50% travel within Central and South Italy, focusing on building materials and specialty chemicals management.

Competenze

  • Degree in Chemistry or related field is mandatory.
  • Experience in the distribution of industrial and specialty chemicals is crucial.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English at a B2-C1 level.

Overview

Field Sales will be responsible for the sales area relations with existing customers as well as following the development of new customers. The territory of coverage will be Central and South Italy based out of Campania area (Naples – Salerno - Caserta).

Performance Materials business manages building materials, paints and varnishes in the industrial sector, cement mortars and adhesives for the building sector and additives for the plastic and rubber sector.

Responsibilities
  • The candidate will be responsible for commercial results in terms of :
  • Sales volume
  • Turnover
  • Product mix' per customer / zone
  • Keeping the economic / financial situation of his / her customers under control
  • Maintain a constant exchange of information with the customer service department - CSR
  • Seeking for new customers and managing active customers
  • Collaborate with product managers to expand their knowledge of the market and the products used by their customers in terms of quantities, prices and competition
Qualifications And Required Skills
  • Chemical / scientific education (degrees in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, etc.)
  • Knowledge of specific industrial markets and raw materials
  • Technical / commercial experience in the distribution of industrial and speciality chemicals (especially paints, varnishes and building materials in the industrial sector)
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) - Level (B2-C1)
  • Considerable interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to guide the customer in the choice of the most suitable product
  • Strong orientation towards achieving results
  • Operational autonomy, excellent planning and organisational skills, ability to work by priority
  • Entrepreneurship in managing one's own area
