The Group You’ll Be A Part Of

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers' installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.

The Impact You’ll Make

As a Field Process Engineer at Lam, you will be a customer-focused expert on our equipment, responsible for process support, evaluation, and documentation of process outputs for hardware modifications and upgrades. You will support installations, training, and identify design improvements in collaboration with product groups.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide process support and assist in the installation of Lam equipment at customer sites.
  • Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) evaluations to characterize process windows for new installations or modifications.
  • Develop new processes for small variants to existing customer applications.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze data, generate reports, and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to understand their needs, technology roadmaps, process flow, and business challenges.
  • Represent Lam to our customers and ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Present technical and marketing materials to keep customers informed about products and services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, or related field; or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment and wear PPE; on-call availability if needed.
  • This role is eligible for recent graduates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
