The Field Marketing Manager – IT is accountable for supporting sales revenue growth across Italy through a well-balanced marketing plan focused on acquiring new logos and increasing market share. The main focus will be lead generation, with secondary responsibilities including supporting local marketing activations and providing real-time event management support (trade shows, lunch & learns, webinars, etc.).
He/She will act as a marketing advisor and support for the Southern Europe GMs and DVP, ensuring that the marketing plan aligns with the country business objectives and the ESI key business drivers.
The role reports to the Growth & Field Marketing Director for Central and Southern Europe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Market understanding (competitive landscape, ADP’s distinctive competencies, market problems, TAM – total addressable market by segment and persona, value proposition of ADP solutions, and prospect/customer pain points).
- Identify key competitor strategies and ensure ADP maintains a compelling and differentiated market position.
- Create a marketing plan aligned with the ESI central strategy and local needs.
- Drive integrated marketing campaigns that deliver growth, leveraging ESI and global tools, or creating new initiatives tailored to the target market.
- Partner with sales, enablement, and country management to foster shared ownership, develop a joint activity calendar, and establish success metrics.
- Communicate and educate the sales team about new and planned marketing activities, including global, regional, and local programs.
- Participate actively in marketing communication efforts.
- Collaborate with regional product marketing to develop tools, programs, training, and content to highlight local products.
- Work with the ESI PR team and local vendors to support relevant stories, coverage, and brand building.
- Manage the budget for growth initiatives.
- Forecast, measure, analyze, and report on program impact and ROI.
- Evaluate and manage local event-related vendors for demand creation programs.
- Develop and implement target account strategies in collaboration with sales for account-based selling.
- Localize global marketing assets, develop case studies, sales collateral, and selling tools.
- Review all marketing asset translations into Italian to enhance localization.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Extensive knowledge of the payroll and HCM market categories is an advantage.
- Deep understanding of sales and marketing practices.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with credibility across all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines, delivering measurable results.
- International business experience is a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- 5-8 years of B2B marketing experience, with a record of securing sizeable new business wins. HR/payroll software experience is desirable but not essential.
- Pragmatic, collaborative, and experienced in managing multiple teams and budgets.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, journalism, or communications.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; result-oriented; adaptable to market changes.
