Job summary

Spaceflux seeks a Field & Installation Engineer for a full-time hybrid role based in Venice, Italy. You will install, commission, maintain and repair telescopes, mounts, domes and roll-off roofs across Spaceflux's sensor network, including site power and connectivity interfaces, and refurbish deployed hardware.

You will help set up a workshop in-region to pre-build and test systems and write repeatable installation procedures, with frequent international travel.

Spaceflux is recruiting a Field & Installation Engineer in Venice, Italy. Contract: full time (hybrid). Language: English (fluent); Italian a strong plus. Work experience: Practical electro-mechanical engineering.

The role covers install, commission, maintain and repair the telescopes, mounts, domes and roll-off roofs of Spaceflux's worldwide sensor network, including site power and connectivity interfaces; refurbish deployed hardware and give second-line support to operations; help set up an in-region workshop to pre-build and test systems; write repeatable installation procedures. Involves frequent international travel, sometimes multi-week.

Requirements: Strong hands-on electro-mechanical or mechatronic skills with tools, mechanisms and assemblies; basic IT and networking (PCs, Ethernet, routers, remote access); basic electrical competence; confidence fixing physical systems in the field; willingness to travel internationally; fluent English. Telescope, optics, workshop or logistics experience and working Italian are a bonus.
