Field Engineer (CCTV, Cabling & Traffic Counter Installation)
We require a skilled Field Engineer to perform CCTV installation, structured cabling, and traffic counter deployment at client sites. The engineer must be capable of handling end-to-end installation, configuration, and verification of systems.
Scope of Work:
- Install and configure CCTV cameras at designated points.
- Run structured CAT5e/6 cabling across customer premises.
- Terminate, test, and label cables for connectivity assurance.
- Install and configure traffic counters as per site requirements.
- Ensure proper drilling, mounting, and alignment of devices.
- Verify device connectivity and integration with network systems.
- Document the work performed and provide before/after photos.
- Report status to the service desk and obtain site contact sign-off.
Tools & Equipment Required:
- Fully charged laptop with RetailNext Network Utility installed.
- 15.4W Standard PoE Injector (48V/0.3A DC).
- CAT5e cable (50 ft), 5 x RJ45 heads, 1 x RJ45 Gender Changer.
- Cable tester, cable toner / tracer / tone tester.
- Cat5e/6 crimping tools.
- Screwdriver set (Phillips & flat), Allen keys / torque bits.
- Drywall screws and anchors.
- Drill with assorted drill bits (½", ⅛", 1").
- Spirit level / leveler tool.
- 10–12 ft A-type ladder.
- Mobile phone with internet, hotspot capability, and camera.
Requirements for Engineer:
- Experience in CCTV installation, structured cabling, and network device setup.
- Familiarity with traffic counter devices and integration.
- Ability to use cable testing and crimping tools.
- Proficient in laptop-based testing and configuration.
- Must have good communication skills and ability to coordinate with client contacts.
- English language proficiency (additional local language skills preferred).
- Physically fit to handle ladder work and equipment installation.
Responsibilities:
- Arrive on site on time and announce as NSC Engineer (do not disclose employer company name).
- Verify scope of work with the onsite contact before starting.
- Carry out installation, cabling, and device setup per technical requirements.
- Test all installed devices and confirm functionality with the service desk.
- Label all cables and devices as required.
- Complete a Site Visit Report (SVR) and have it signed by the client onsite contact.
- Submit documentation, photos, and SVR to service desk within 48 hours of completion.
