ZTE is looking for a Field Engineer to supervise deployment activities in Bologna for FTTH network roll-out ensuring H&S on site defined by the Dlgs. 81/2008, quality level requested by the customer's technical specifications, plan site survey, civil works, installation, fiber optic splicing, produce site documentation from design to site acceptance and manage subcontractor’s resources and complementary material purchase.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Planning Roll out works according to dependencies and master plan;
• Interact with Field Subcontractors on technical specifications, materials, work quality, tests, validation and acceptance;
• Interact with the Public Authorities for Permit requests;
• Interact with customer Area SPOC (Single Point of Contact) to track deadlines, plan rollout reviews, manage escalations regarding field issues during rollouts or acceptance, etc.;
• Coordination of on field subcontractor’s activities, including PO's issuing, accounting management, first level site quality and H&S inspection;
• Train and gets trained on technologies in roll-out;
• Manage escalations regarding field issues during rollouts or acceptance.

The successful Candidate

• University Degree in Telecommunication Engineering;
• At least 2 years of experience in the TLC industry;
• Knowledge of TELCO network as far as field aspects are concerned, such as but not limited to: FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network, excavation technical specifications, materials, standards, active equipment, telco rooms layout, power distribution, subcontractors needs, material, standards, customer specification and guidelines;
• Access Network & Passive Plant, Access, Transport, Mobile, Microwave, any combination of them;
• Planning and team schedule organization;
