The role of Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Solutions setup: Install and set up Laboratory Automation systems based on customer needs and contract specifications, working with LIS and Middleware Team.
  • End user Training: Conduct onsite training to teach customers about the product portfolio under your responsibility. Run training sessions during the startup phase of projects.
  • Remote support: Troubleshoot customer issues and seek solutions following internal standard procedures. Activate second-level support if needed.
  • Support our field team (FSE, FAS) to maintain, install, and validate laboratory systems in the field. Advise the team on critical technical issues, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and warranty conversion.
  • Utilize critical thinking to resolve issues and rapidly repair instrumentation.
  • Ensure the growth of the Field Service Engineers’ technical knowledge by managing the flow of technical information between the European and BU teams and the local team.
  • Collaborate actively with Sales, Application, and Tender Departments to improve customer solutions and routines.
  • Develop project management skills in the context of installation projects.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • A degree (preferably in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or related fields) or at least 2 to 3 years of demonstrated experience.
  • Willingness to work different shifts/flexible hours as needed and ability to travel at least 80%, providing service across the country and periodically traveling to other European countries with overnight stays.
  • Fluency in Italian and English, both verbal and written, to attend and provide training and participate in discussions and international meetings.
  • Strong leadership skills and interpersonal relationships.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Problem solving and proactive solution identification.
  • Good IT knowledge, including setting up and managing networks, servers, firewalls, and interfaces.
  • Developing a critical mindset supported by DBS tools.
