Field Application Engineer (Automotive)

As Arrow Global Components (AGC), a part of Arrow Electronics, we are a leader in distribution and value-added services related to electronic components. We resell, customize, and distribute electronic components to our clients all over the world. Our business is based on a trusted, long-lasting network of relationships with industry leaders, both on the supplier and customer side.

We are looking for a Field Application Engineer who will join our Engineering team, to help guide our customers R&D in Italy and help them realize their innovative ideas. You will preferably live in the North Italy area and work based out of our office in Milan or Turin.

What You Will Be Doing at Arrow?

• You will be working closely with a technical specialist on our customer sides providing needed expertise,
• Be a technical lead on large, complex customer engagements,
• You will be a primary point of contact between Arrow sales team and the key decision-makers on the customer and supplier side,
• As a technical expert, you will be responsible for preparing & conducting training, events, and technical meeting with clients and suppliers,
• Guide technical direction/ priorities based on suppliers shaping strategy and market situation.

What Are We Looking For?

• Around 5 years of experience as a Field Application Engineer, Design Engineer or Electronic Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer or similar role preferably in Automotive industry,
• University degree in the technical field in electronic engineering or similar specialization,
• Experience in R&D products and services,
• Very good communication skills and Customer faced orientation,
• Previous experience with a technical presentation, conducting training and technical events will be an advantage,
• Business fluency in English and Italian languages.
• Driving license and willingness to travel in Italian in connection with customer visits.
