Describe the role
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Serve as a domain expert for Hoffman products (enclosures, industrial climate control, panel shop automation solutions and related software) including their application, for nVent functions including Sales, Product Management, Operations, etc.
- Provide first line product support by helping customers and colleagues using Hoffman products and services.
- Provide technical application assistance to identify modified and engineered products based on customer specifications and application requirements.
- Prepare and submit quotations & proposals for non-standard products using internal CPQ and ERP systems.
- Conduct product training for customers and train distributors on quoting tools.
- Prepare compliance documents against customer specifications.
- Manage strategic projects for product enhancements, cost reduction, product consolidation, and new product development.
- Review training literature for technical accuracy including installation guides, procedures, operations manuals, and online learning.
- Represent nVent in industry codes and standards committees.
- Provide market-specific intelligence and feedback on products and services to the commercial teams. Assist with voice of customer (VOC) visits.
- Plan activities with the Sales Leader.
- Identify projects in the closing phase with the sales team and provide necessary technical support.
- Inform superiors of all important situations, developments, and decisions requiring approval.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
YOU HAVE:
- University Degree or equivalent experience / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years Manufacturing/Technical experience in a target-driven business
- English language skills of at least B2 certificate
- Willing to travel up to 20% for customer visits
- Experience working in a local sales office for an international manufacturing company
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer orientation with negotiation and cost optimization skills
- Good time management skills
- Business insight, initiative-taking, high integrity, democratic approach, teamwork skills
- Self-motivated & independent, proactive attitude
