About Vicor : Vicor Corporation designs, manufactures, and markets modular power components and complete power systems used in various markets including aerospace, defense, enterprise computing, industrial equipment, telecommunications, and transportation. Vicor is expanding into the Automotive Industry, focusing on mild hybrid, EV/HEV, and autonomous vehicles using high voltage to 48V architectures and 48V to 12V systems, emphasizing higher efficiency, power density, and cost-effectiveness.

Position : The main responsibility of the FAE position is to proactively support Vicor power solutions across various market opportunities including:

• Automotive
• Industrial
• Aerospace & Defense
• High Performance Computing

This role involves coordinating with Business Development Managers, Account Managers, and internal partners to provide pre- and post-sales technical support. Responsibilities include product selection, system troubleshooting, product introduction, and assisting with DIN applications from electrical, mechanical, and thermal perspectives.

Key tasks include:

1. Articulating technology and product positioning to technical and business audiences.
2. Developing business relationships through direct customer engagement and channel partners.
3. Capturing customer system requirements and liaising with Product Line Engineers.
4. Maintaining strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
5. Reviewing schematics and supporting customer projects.
6. Handling technical inquiries via phone and email.
7. Conducting customer visits (30-50% travel expected).
8. Preparing and delivering technical seminars and product training.
9. Supporting hands-on product evaluations in the lab.
10. Enabling demand creation and supporting channel partners to increase design wins.

Qualifications, Experience, and Attributes : The candidate should have:

• A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in analog/power supply design or applications engineering.
• Automotive market experience is preferred.
• Electronics technician skills and a good understanding of analog circuits.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with distribution partners.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation abilities.
• Ability to balance short-term achievements with long-term development.
• Business acumen and fluency in English and Italian.
• Computer literacy, including CRM systems like Salesforce.
• Valid full driving license.
