Descrizione del lavoro

What will you be involved in?

Together with a team with 20 years’ experience on various types of machines, centrifugal compressors, steam and gas turbines, mechanical components of various kinds, casings, filters, pressure vessels, and both offshore and onshore structures, you will be responsible for developing the dimensioning and verification of mechanical components, using computational methods and structural and fluid-dynamic verifications, and for supporting the client in problem solving, in upgrading existing designs and during the development of new ideas.

Specifically, You Will Carry Out
  • Finite element analysis on 2D and 3D models:
  • static linear and non-linear structural analyses
  • static and transient thermal analyses
  • dynamic analyses (modal, harmonic and spectrum analysis for vibration assessment)
  • fatigue and creep behaviour analysis
  • transient analysis
  • clearance study
  • coupling analysis
  • analysis according to international standards (EUROCODICE, DNV etc.) on on and offshore structures, mechanical parts, rotating machinery, pressure vessels etc.

– Development of tools for finite element analysis guided by data or input geometry

Skills Required
  • Master’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis, structural analysis, fluid dynamic analysis (CFD) with Ansys.
  • The ability to develop scripts and macros in the APDL language is an advantage
  • Strong analysis, planning and team-working skills, as well as strong communication, relationship management and coordination skills complete the profile.

Place of work: Florence
