Quest Global, a leader in engineering solutions, is seeking a FEM Stress / Structural Analysis Engineer in the Aviation Domain. This position involves working on simulation and structural analysis for aero engines and mechanical components in a dynamic environment with exciting projects. The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree and related experience, alongside a passion for innovation and problem-solving in engineering.

We offer a motivating environment with exciting projects and are looking to welcome a FEM Stress / Structural Analysis Engineer – Aviation Domain.

Work Location: Possibility of placement in Florence, Turin, or Brindisi.

The selected candidate will join a team providing engineering support for development programs related to aero engines/gearboxes, involving simulation, structural analysis, and calculations on mechanical components or complex systems. Activities may include stress analysis, fatigue, crack propagation, etc.

Work Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • At least one year of professional experience in analysis and simulations using Finite Element Method (FEM), particularly in static (linear and nonlinear), dynamic, thermal analyses, contact treatment, and material behavior for mechanical components.
  • Experience with ANSYS APDL and/or Hypermesh software.
  • Ability to develop macros and scripts for pre-processing/post-processing activities.
  • Optional background in turbomachinery, aircraft engines, transmissions, gears, and basic experience with CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX, Solid Edge).
  • Optional knowledge in fatigue and crack propagation.
  • Good command of English.

The ideal profile also includes strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, organization, methodical approach, results orientation in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, reliability, teamwork skills, communication, relationship management, organizational flexibility, and willingness to travel.
