DSQUARED2 invites you to join as a Fashion Design Intern – Womenswear in Milano. You will support the Head Designer in creative development, research trends, and prepare collections while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced studio.

You will develop sketches, help with technical drawings, and organize design materials. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and a passion for fashion are expected; a relevant degree or project experience is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Your mission and role

As a Fashion Design Intern, you will support the Head Designer and the whole team in the creative development and preparation of collections, contributing to the research, design, and organization of collection materials. You will work closely with the design team in a dynamic fashion environment, gaining hands‑on experience throughout the collection development process.

Creative & Collection Development

• Support the womenswear team in the development of seasonal collections and creative projects.
• Assist in the development of collection concepts, moods, and visual directions in line with the brand identity and creative guidelines.
• Conduct research on fashion trends, references, inspirations, and visual concepts to support collection development.
• Support the creation and development of collection proposals through fashion sketches and figurines.

Design & Technical Development

• Create fashion illustrations and collection designs on figurines.
• Develop technical drawings by hand and digitally, supporting the translation of creative concepts into product designs.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of design materials and collection presentations.
• Support the creation and updating of product design sheets, technical documentation, and collection lookbooks.
• Conduct research on fabrics, materials, trims, and other product components.
• Organize, catalogue, and archive material and design references.
• Support the team in gathering visual and material references for new collections.
• Collaborate closely with Senior Designers and the wider creative team throughout the collection development process.
• Support daily design activities and contribute to ad hoc creative projects.
• Ensure assigned activities and deliverables are completed accurately and within the required deadlines.

PROFILE

Education: Degree or academic background in Fashion Design, Fashion, or a related field.

Previous experience: Previous internship, academic, or project experience in Fashion Design, Styling, or Product Development is a plus.

Soft skills: strong organizational skills, attention to detail, precision, sense of responsibility, creativity, proactivity, and a strong team-oriented approach.

Design skills: good knowledge of fashion illustration and the ability to develop collection designs on figurines. Ability to create technical drawings both by hand and digitally.

IT skills: good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, as well as general proficiency with digital tools and computer systems.

Fashion knowledge: good knowledge and understanding of the fashion industry, with particular interest in both women’s wear and menswear.

Passion: we are looking for someone passionate about fashion, creative, curious, and eager to learn. You are detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and comfortable working collaboratively in a dynamic and fast‑paced creative environment.
