Summary

Personnel needed to provide services to the Family Advocacy Program in support of the Army Community Service (ACS). The FAP Educator is responsible for ensuring community members have access to family violence education and referrals to Victim Advocacy services for victims of family violence, including child and spouse abuse. Responsibilities include teaching FAP classes, providing program overviews, assisting with events, and administrative duties.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in social science, behavioral health, health science education, community health, or public health.
  • Experience: At least one year in family and children’s services or community organization, with experience in family violence.
Additional Requirements
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • English proficiency at level 3 (Good working knowledge)
Duties Include
  • Conduct training, briefings, and classes.
  • Implement prevention programs focused on domestic violence and child abuse prevention.
  • Participate in community outreach, including informational tables and community events.
  • Organize community resilience events and family summits.
  • Promote awareness of child abuse prevention and teen dating violence.
  • Market the FAP program to the community.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through surveys and committee participation.
  • Work with the ACS FAP team and attend meetings.
  • Coordinate cases and referrals.
  • Assist with administrative duties like maintaining databases and logs.
Training / Travel Requirements

The FAP Educator may need to attend training courses, primarily held in Texas or other stateside locations, with occasional travel to Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, twice a year for 1-2 days.
