Position Snapshot

  • At least 8 years Production\Engineering/Manufacturing management experience with demonstrated strong leadership skills applied to big teams

Position Summary
Reporting to the Factory Manager, in this role you will lead and manage the operations and performance improvement activities of Operations department to meet scheduled production requirements to quality, cost and safety standards. You will fully contribute to the development of the factory operations master plan.

A Day in the Life of the Factory Operational Manager

  • Lead towards maintaining, promoting and developing high health and safety standards and to carry out all duties and specific responsibilities in compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure that systems are developed and utilized to achieve quality standards and improve and achieve hygienic standards.
  • Actively manage maintenance routines to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and executed in time with high quality, with adherence to budget.
  • Drive continuous improvement through TPM, manage the development and achievement of all key performance targets in operations.
  • Control annual fixed and variable budgets, continually challenge costs.
  • Facilitate the development of an open and productive culture where people take pride & responsibility in what they do, & feel a sense of involvement & self-worth.
  • Encourage the active participation of all staff in improvement activities and programs.
  • Take a particular responsibility to lead, develop and coach his or her direct team to maximise achievement of factory objectives through regular coaching, review and development
