Role
The Global Workplace and Infrastructure (GWI) team is responsible for all facilities, from acquisition through operation to disposition. Creating a compelling and highly productive workplace experience for our employees is central to our mission. As a member of the GWI team, this position will play an exciting and important role in our success.
The Manager of Workplace & Infrastructure Italy will report to the Managing Director for Workplace & Infrastructure Europe, manage a team of 4-6 regular full time employees and multiple contractors, and be responsible for managing facilities in Treviso, Agrate, Regio-Emilia, and Catania (covering the full life cycle of facilities including planning, programming, budgeting, acquiring, designing, constructing, operating, repairing and maintaining, and disposing of space, including delivery of workplace and general office services).
This person will be a subject matter expert in real estate and facilities, provide leadership to the staff, and, working together with local management and stakeholders, be responsible for the safe, cost effective, and productive operations of facilities and infrastructure in Italy for Applied Materials.
This person will be part of the GWI Europe team which manages locations in 8 countries and 23 cities in Europe, and may be called on to support projects outside of Italy as the company grows and expands.
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have the following:
Strong working experience as a facilities manager in a Industrial Multinational company.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of local Fire, Building, Occupancy, Real Estate and Environmental codes.
Experience with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, AutoCAD, building controls systems, CMMS and IWMS systems
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facilities, Business or related field.
