Are you eager to manage and innovate within our facilities to enhance the efficiency of our operations? This is an exciting opportunity for you if you are an experienced Facility Lead with a passion for optimizing equipment, machinery, and building facilities in a dynamic environment.
As Facility Lead, the main responsibilities will be to ensure, as an individual contributor, the continuity, efficiency, and correct functioning of the plant utilities, and to ensure the functionality and preventive and ordinary maintenance of the buildings according to internal procedures and current regulations.
A Day in the Life
- Manages the design, planning, construction, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.
- Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs.
- Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department.
- Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facilities expansion.
- Coordinates project planning and construction site management, ensuring the definition of times, costs, resources, and the organization of the various project phases in compliance with current legislation on safety and the environment and site procedures.
- Defines and develops improvement projects for production areas, both external and internal, with related management of property renovation and/or expansion projects, promoting energy efficiency in accordance with sustainability directives, and managing contractors, suppliers, and consultants in collaboration with HSE.
- Guarantees the functionality of ordinary services including technical cleaning, heating, cooling of offices and production areas, and maintenance of buildings, green areas, electrical, hydraulic, and thermal systems, managing procedures (authorizations, concessions, insurance requests) and relationships with relevant public bodies (e.g., municipality, INAIL, province), and promoting predictive maintenance plans for utilities.
- Ensures management of reporting related to energy consumption for electricity, methane gas, and water; supports purchasing in market analysis.
- Creates project-specific URS by collaborating with consultancy firms for tenders, interfacing with and collaborating with EHS.
Must Haves
- Master's degree in engineering disciplines (Civil, Environmental, etc.) or a diploma in technical-scientific direction.
- Solid experience in large companies with complex structures in plant maintenance.
- Experience in the medical or pharmaceutical sector is an added value.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD 2D.
- Strong sense of responsibility and autonomy.
Nice to Haves
- Technical knowledge of medical devices and/or high-tech industry.
- Experience in capital-intensive manufacturing environments with high automation.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and integrated supply chain processes.
