Job summary

Vishay Italy seeks a Fab Process Engineer to manage silicon wafer diode production in Borgaro Torinese. You will oversee process qualification, production, and control methodologies while driving continuous improvements in yield, throughput, and cost. A six-month rotation across processes builds broad expertise.

You will lead innovation projects, analyze large datasets, and perform DOE modelling using JMP, collaborating with Quality and R&D. Travel for supplier audits is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or in Mathematical, Physical or Natural Sciences.
• At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and/or statistical mindset.
• Knowledge of DMAIC methodology and project management.
• Basic knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Manage silicon wafer diode production processes across cost, quality and qualification.
• Following a six-month rotation across all processes, a priority area will be assigned for ongoing responsibility.
• Manage innovation technical projects (FAB process and methods, process automation, diode platforms).
• Manage large datasets, statistical analyses and DOE modelling using JMP.
• Identify and evaluate new process opportunities, silicon suppliers and specifications, production and cost optimization initiatives, and root causes of yield and cost issues.
• Manage 8D problem-solving activities and technical discussions with Quality and R&D departments.
• Be willing to travel to support supplier audits as a technical reference and to gain experience across other FAB sites.
