Belmond Ltd. is seeking an F&B Waiter for the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond Train, to deliver outstanding dining service across our iconic journey.

You will work with a multinational team, ensuring memorable guest experiences, maintaining the highest service standards, and promoting beverages and meals with courtesy.

This role requires travel across Europe and flexibility, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a waiter or F&B attendant in luxury hospitality.
• Experience serving international guests in premium settings.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

• Deliver professional and efficient food and beverage service in the restaurant carriage.
• Take guest orders for food, beverages, and special requests with accuracy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver professional and efficient food and beverage service in the restaurant carriage, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Take guest orders for food, bread, water, beverages, and additional requests with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Attend to guest requirements promptly, professionally, and with a personalised approach.
• Ensure guest comfort, wellbeing, and satisfaction throughout the journey.
• Promote and maximise food and beverage sales while maintaining the highest service standards.
• Maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of the dining carriage before, during, and after service.
• Assist with beverage stock counts and departmental controls.
• Help minimise breakage, waste, and stock losses.
• Ensure safety and security standards are maintained within the restaurant area at all times.
• Liaise closely with colleagues and other onboard departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Report guest feedback, operational issues, incidents, accidents, compliments, or complaints to the relevant managers.
• Maintain a professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene standards.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and training activities.
• Support the wider restaurant team and perform additional duties as required by operational needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Waiter, Server, or F&B Attendant in luxury hospitality, fine dining restaurants, premium hotels, cruise lines, or luxury trains.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and personalised service.
• Experience working with international guests in a multicultural environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and flexible approach.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Availability to travel extensively across Europe and work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
