We are seeking motivated individuals to join our innovative team. The role of External Warehouses & Supply Chain Project Lead reports directly to the Associate Director - Supply Chain Planning & Transformation. In this key role, you will define and drive the strategic direction of external warehouse operations, aligning with the site’s business plan and global supply chain priorities.

Job Objectives :

• Lead Sesto Warehouse Governance meetings with local senior leadership.
• Define and implement strategies for external warehouses aligned with the site and business plans.
• Serve as liaison between Global Logistics, Supply Chain, and the Sesto manufacturing site for seamless communication.
• Lead cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse occupancy.
• Build and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers to enhance operational efficiency.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain.
• Collaborate with the material manager to review metrics, identify shortages, and monitor order statuses.
• Maintain SAP Master Data / APO parameters for accurate planning.

Main Responsibilities :

• Manage transformational projects across Supply Chain functions to modernize processes.
• Oversee long-term strategies for external warehouses, including site construction, consolidation, and system integration.
• Analyze manufacturing plans to address logistics challenges affecting delivery.
• Develop plans to optimize external warehousing operations based on E2E supply chain outputs.
• Support inventory strategies to ensure timely deliveries.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Chain for inventory rebalancing and network collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards with third-party providers.
• Manage relationships to rebalance stocks and address criticalities across the network.
• Handle procurement activities, including purchase orders and requisitions.
• Monitor inventory reports to manage slow-moving, overstocked, and obsolete items.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate adjustments.
• Understand logistics lead times and their impact on Material Planning.
• Assist in managing transportation logistics and balancing warehouse loads.
• Coordinate returns and disposal of raw materials.
• Follow escalation processes for deviations and lead investigations if required.
• Contribute to the Business Plan with forecasts and cost analyses.

Basic Requirements :

• Master’s Degree in a scientific field.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• Proficient in SAP R/3, APO, Excel, Trackwise.
• APICS certification is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Supply Chain principles and Warehouse Management experience.
