EXPORT SALES MANAGER
Leading Company in the manufacture of PVC products in the Lombardia area.
Reporting to : Sales Director
Job Summary
The Export Manager will be responsible to managing the Sales activities for the Furniture segment in Italy and internationally. This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying new market opportunities and managing relationships with international clients. The Export Manager will work closely with various departments, including Customer Service, Quality & Control, Finance, Supply, Production to achieve the company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management :
Support the growth of our business with acquisition, prospection and / or development of new Clients, Agents and / or Distributors
Participate in Fairs and events to engage and prospect clients and stakeholders
Sales and Business Development :
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international markets
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential international clients
Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and partners
Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management
Make plans to achieve / exceed export sales target
Market Research and Strategy Development :
Conduct market research to identify potential markets and customers
Develop and implement export strategies to increase market share in existing and new markets
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats
Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts with international clients
Actively contribute for the development of new products and solutions
Operations Management :
Coordinate with Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure production, lead time and cost-effective delivery of products to international customers
Manage export documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificate of origin and bills of lading
Manage shipping, customs and payments
Prepare and manage export budgets and forecasts
Negotiate payment terms and manage the collection of payments from international clients
Assess and manage risks associated with currency fluctuations, credit and market volatility
Negotiate sales contracts, pricing, and terms with international clients
Monitor and implement pricing strategies, negotiate price adjustments (increase)
Preparation of statistics and reports for Management
Monitor and control expenses to ensure profitability of export operations
Required skills / experience :
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in export sales (PVC Furniture)
Proven track record of achieving export sales targets and expanding market share
Strong understanding of international trade market, logistics, customs procedures
Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
Fluency in English (proficiency in additional language is a plus)
Willingness to travel internationally as needed
