Job Description:

Valmet is seeking an Expert On-line to join our Bologna office on a 1-year temporary contract. The role involves promptly receiving customer requests related to machinery issues, verifying, and resolving problems remotely. After on-the-job training, the role operates independently to complete assigned tasks.

Key responsibilities:

1. Collect customer requests related to issues to be resolved
2. Provide remote assistance and support to resolve issues
3. Supervise and update software and working parameters
4. Update online machinery software
5. Develop and propose continuous service improvements and transform customer requests into performance enhancement opportunities
6. Maintain proactive service on the installed machinery base

Qualifications:

• Degree in Automation Engineering or Informatics
• At least 1 year of experience as a programmer or software designer
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Italian; Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge of Siemens Step 7, Tia Portal, Motion, Sinamics, HMI WinCC, and Data network transmission (Profibus, Profinet)
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
• Availability for shift work and on-call duties
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Goal-oriented with a strong customer focus
• Ability to focus on controllable factors
