FieldCore is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer and Technical Field Advisor to join our Field Operations team based in Italy.

The Gas Power division develops efficient natural gas technologies and decarbonization solutions. FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, ensuring reliable and affordable energy.

Role Overview

As Controls Technical Field Advisor for Steam Turbines, you will oversee controls activities during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of steam turbines and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage controls activities on site, including installation, troubleshooting, and diagnostics
• Oversee site activities, resource planning, and execution according to contractual requirements
• Understand PLC ladder logic and troubleshoot using ladder rungs
• Interpret electrical/mechanical diagrams
• Ensure proper installation, commissioning, and maintenance practices
• Provide expertise in instrumentation calibration and equipment diagnostics
• Support customers and field technicians with technical guidance
• Prepare accurate reports and attend technical meetings
• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines
• Offer consultation on complex projects and OEM products

Additional Requirements

• Ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
• Willingness to spend significant time away from home for training and assignments

Required Skills

Experience with power plant maintenance, turbine controls, and installation, especially with Steam Turbine Driver Control Systems such as Mark VI, Mark V, or Mark Vie.

Formal engineering education is preferred but relevant experience and achievements are highly valued.
