Metis Engineering Services in Italy is seeking a CNC CAM Operator to program, fixture, and set up CAM processes for diverse CNC milling machines, lathes, and machining centers. You will analyze drawings, create operation sheets, and develop CNC programs with CAM software, selecting speeds and tooling.

Collaboration with engineers will address issues and drive productivity improvements. The role requires hands‑on CAM programming expertise, familiarity with SolidCAM, and experience with MAZAK

Competenze

• Associates degree in mechanical or industrial technology.
• 8–12 years related CNC machining/programming experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• Previous programming experience desired.
• Experience with machine programming and CAM software required.
• Experience in developing CNC programs using Solid CAM.

Mansioni

• Programming, fixture design, and cutting tool selection for various CNC Milling Machines, Lathes, and Machining Centres.
• Prepare detailed operation sheets for machining and develop programs for numerically controlled machines and products.
• Create and modify programming methods and CNC codes using CAM software, while selecting appropriate speeds, feeds, and tooling.
• Analyse engineering drawings to understand new or revised designs for programming purposes.
• Implement written engineering requirements into operational machine programs.
• Communicate effectively with machine operators, production engineers, and quality teams.
• Identify, report, and resolve unusual machining conditions or critical issues.
• Suggest and implement productivity, cycle-time, and process improvements in machining and programming.
