The candidate will manage internal and external stakeholders for international (and Italian when needed) payroll activities and serve as a contact point for foreign HR and payroll departments of other group companies.

This role will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and IT departments.

Job Description :

  • Participate in the International Payroll and Tax team under the Expats management function (HR), working to effectively manage global payroll activities.
  • Coordinate with external global payroll providers to design, build, test, and implement the global payroll platform.
  • Act as a primary contact for foreign colleagues managing HR and payroll activities, focusing on expatriates and daily payroll and tax processes.
  • Monitor global payroll issues and collaborate with foreign payroll colleagues and external providers to resolve them.
  • Ensure compliance with headquarters' global payroll policies, instructions, and roadmaps across all countries in the group.
  • Serve as a trusted payroll advisor to employees and foreign HR colleagues.
  • Assist in managing Italian payroll for employees on international assignments, inbound and outbound.
  • Support with issues related to Italian payroll activities.
  • Perform gross-to-net and net-to-gross calculations for Italian payroll.
  • Review payslips to ensure payroll compliance for both Italian and foreign employees.
  • Align payroll processes and compliance between Italian and foreign payslips for expatriates.
  • Manage purchase requisitions and orders with external vendors, procurement, and finance departments.
  • Support onboarding of foreign inbound expatriates with payroll-related activities.

The appropriate candidate has :

  • At least 4 years of experience with international or global payroll platforms in large, complex, and dynamic organizations, focusing on expatriates.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Experience managing payroll for employees and expatriates across different countries, including outbound, inbound, and internal relocations.
  • Knowledge of global payroll processes, administration, and best practices.
  • Experience working with external payroll vendors.
  • Understanding of managing share and cash incentive plans from a payroll perspective.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Time Management.
  • Basic knowledge of Zucchetti payroll engine.
  • Basic understanding of tax equalization and net-guaranteed policies.
  • Basic knowledge of international tax and social security regulations.
  • Basic familiarity with Italian tax regimes for inbound employees.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with internal and external stakeholders.
