The role involves managing safety initiatives, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization. Descrizione del lavoro

Ensure sites operate in compliance with the Italian EHS regulation and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation and best practices.

1. Ensure all Accidents, Incidents / Near Misses are reported, investigated, and recorded, with recommendations implemented.
2. Support all site areas in completing EHS risk assessments.
3. Support Sites and Corporate EHS programs and initiatives; maintain and submit reports as required.
4. Maintain ISO 45001 certification and participate in the global EHS audit program to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
5. Provide technical support on Environmental, Health, and Safety issues; monitor and collect leading and lagging indicators.
6. Facilitate continuous improvement by identifying creative solutions to system and process gaps.
7. Develop a culture of trust with all KES employees through effective interactions and timely responses to concerns and requests.
8. Coordinate emergency management drills and exercises to test organizational systems and response capabilities.
9. Manage company safety committees and safety improvement teams.
10. Identify EHS training needs and ensure timely delivery and updates.
11. Oversee disposal of controlled waste to meet legal requirements; ensure contractor and facility compliance.
12. Supervise safety-related activities on sites to ensure compliance with laws, client, and corporate safety practices.
13. Supervise and sustain contractors vetting programs, ensuring compliance through vetting, auditing, and oversight.
14. Participate in site management EHS inspections and audits, emphasizing hazard recognition and safe behaviors.
15. Support the implementation and re-certification of the construction EHS management system to maintain VCA-P.
16. Serve as a resource to site H&S personnel on regulations, risk assessment, environmental management, and confined space entry programs, procedures, and policies.
17. Assist site/plant managers and EHS specialists in EHS risk reduction initiatives.
18. Support recruitment to ensure new hires align with Koch EHS vision.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

1. Previous solid experience as an Italian H&S officer (RSPP) is essential.
2. In-depth knowledge of Italian occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
3. Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
4. Leadership skills to drive continuous improvement and influence teams.
5. Ability to work in a matrix and multicultural environment.
6. Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad.
