About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic ESS Regional Project Manager - Italy (Milan) to lead our Energy Storage Systems (ESS) business in Sungrow Europe. This role is crucial for ensuring successful ESS project delivery and high-level customer engagement, involving team leadership and strategic expansion in a high-growth market. The ideal candidate combines organizational skills, leadership, and strategic thinking to drive results.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

• Project Planning : Define BESS project scope (S, A, B levels), goals, and deliverables at different stages; develop detailed project plans, timelines (Gantt charts, schedules), and budgets; identify risks and create mitigation strategies.
• Team Coordination & Leadership : Assign tasks and responsibilities, facilitate cross-functional collaboration (commercial, service, product solutions, legal, finance), motivate and guide the team to meet deadlines.
• Stakeholder Communication : Act as the main contact for clients, executives, and team members; provide regular updates; organize meetings; manage expectations and negotiate changes.
• Project Payment & Resource Management : Track payment milestones, ensure adherence to deadlines, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Risk & Issue Management : Identify risks, develop contingency plans, resolve conflicts, and remove obstacles.
• Quality Assurance & Delivery : Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and conduct post-project reviews.

Your Profile

2-3+ years in project management leadership within energy storage, renewables, or technical infrastructure sectors.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Proven experience managing teams and developing customer relationships.

Skilled in solution-based project management and contract negotiation.

Fluency in English and Italian (minimum B2 level).

Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time.

Project Manager Certifications

PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI

PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments)

CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) – Entry-level
