Job summary

Sigma Earth in Lombardy, Italy, seeks a sustainability professional to lead certification and advisory services for Greenhouse Gas emissions. You will manage verification projects, coordinate resources, and support sales with technical insights on carbon footprint topics.

Prepare and review technical documents in Italian and English, and perform verification activities per international standards. Relevant ISO and ETS experience is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in GHG certification.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14064-1, ISO 14067, EU ETS and the GHG Protocol.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Project management, coordination and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.

How You Can Make an Impact

For our Certification Performance & Technical Development Division, we are looking for a new team member to join the Sustainability team, focusing on certification and advisory services related to Greenhouse Gas emissions.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and coordinating GHG emissions verification projects.
• Coordinating internal and external resources and acting as the main interface with clients and stakeholders.
• Providing technical and commercial support to sales teams.
• Offering technical support to clients on carbon footprint verification, validation, and climate strategy topics.
• Preparing and reviewing technical documents and reports in both Italian and English.
• Conducting verification and validation activities in line with national and international standards.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in GHG certification.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks, including ISO 14064-1, ISO 14067, EU ETS, and the GHG Protocol.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Project management, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay results-oriented, and solve problems effectively.

Previous experience in structured or multi-project environments, involvement in ESG projects, and Lead Auditor qualification in one or more schemes such as ISO 14064-1, ISO 14067, or ETS would be considered an advantage.
