ESG Coordinator
Job Description Summary
The successful candidate will join the ESG Team in Asset Services as a Sustainability Coordinator. They will ensure the responsible management of real estate assets, including offices, shopping centers, and logistics facilities. The role involves supporting the implementation of action plans to improve and measure the environmental and social impact of assets. Additionally, the candidate will prepare, monitor, and execute/supervise client deliverables to high standards, on time, and within agreed parameters, including supporting business development efforts.
Core Client Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for sustainability in Asset Services across managed assets and act as the client’s sustainability representative.
- Support the design and implementation of ESG action plans at the portfolio and asset levels, aligned with client policies and company standards.
- Oversee legislative and regulatory risks at the asset level, including current and future planning.
- Prepare routine sustainability reports as part of client account management, involving data collection, review, and use of online management systems.
- Conduct site surveys and audit reports; develop site-level sustainability plans to enhance performance.
- Engage with tenants on sustainability and ESG issues.
- Manage relationships with clients, internal teams, local authorities, service providers, statutory bodies, engineering firms, and other stakeholders.
- Support sustainability certification and recertification projects such as BREEAM In-Use and WELL for operational assets.
- Provide sustainability support and advice to the Asset Services team, including training property management and technical teams.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with internal service lines to share knowledge and align service delivery.
- Manage relationships with supply chain partners regarding data quality and integrity, such as utility and waste management providers.
- Review industry guidelines and provide guidance to asset services and clients, especially when changes impact the portfolio.
- Assist in client and internal presentations, including pitches and supporting the EMEA sustainability strategy.
- Support the evolution of the sustainability service offering and contribute to business development to attract new clients.
- Promote sustainability practices across the managed portfolio, including operational and business development initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant sustainability experience.
- Experience in property management.
- Degree in engineering, architecture, or related field.
- Good understanding of building operating systems (mechanical, electrical, controls, fire, and health & safety).
- Experience in managing assets from new build to operational management.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Self-motivated with commercial awareness.
- Excellent time management, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Experience with cost control, variance, and forecasting reports.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and energy management software.
- Experience managing performance-based contracts.
