ESG Coordinator
Job Description Summary
The successful candidate will join the ESG Team in Asset Services as a Sustainability Coordinator and will ensure responsible management of real estate assets (offices, shopping centers, logistics, among others). They will support the implementation of action plans to improve and measure the environmental and social impact of assets. This role will also involve preparing, monitoring, and executing / supervising client deliverables to high standards, on time, and within the agreed parameters, including supporting business development.
Core Client Responsibilities :
- Be the primary contact in Asset Services for sustainability across assets under Cushman & Wakefield's management and serve as the client sustainability representative.
- Support the design and implementation of ESG action plans at the portfolio and asset level, aligned with the client's corporate policies and Cushman & Wakefield's standards.
- Oversee legislative and regulatory risks at the asset level, current and future planning.
- Prepare routine sustainability reports as part of client account management, including data collection, review, and use of online management systems.
- Conduct site surveys and audit reports, creating site-level sustainability plans to enhance the client's sustainability performance.
- Engage with key tenants on sustainability and ESG issues.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, Cushman & Wakefield, local authorities, service providers, statutory bodies, engineering companies, and client representatives.
- Support the delivery of sustainability and certification projects (e.g., BREEAM In-Use, WELL) for operational assets.
- Provide sustainability support and advice to the local Asset Services team, including deploying training for property and technical management teams.
Additional Responsibilities :
Coordinate with other internal service lines to share knowledge and ensure aligned service delivery.Manage relationships with key supply chain partners regarding sustainability data quality and integrity (e.g., utility providers, waste management providers).Review industry guidelines and provide guidance and support to Cushman & Wakefield's asset services and clients, especially when changes impact the managed portfolio.Support presentations to clients and colleagues, including local client pitches and the development of the EMEA sustainability strategy for Asset Services.Contribute to the evolution of the sustainability service offering within Asset Services and actively support business development efforts to retain and attract new clients.Embed sustainability practices across the managed portfolio, including operational, business development, and impact-led programs.Skills, Knowledge & Experience :
At least 2 years of relevant sustainability experience.Property management experience.Degree in engineering, architecture, or related field.Good knowledge of building operating systems (mechanical, electrical, controls, fire / health and safety).Experience in transitioning from new build development to management.Fluent in Italian and English.Self-motivated with commercial awareness and experience.Excellent time management, communication skills, and attention to detail.Experience with cost control, variance, and forecasting reports.Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and energy management software.Experience managing performance-based contracts.Note : Cushman & Wakefield
