Hitachi Rail is seeking an enthusiastic ERTMS Functional Design Engineer to join our team in Genoa or Naples, Italy. The role involves delivering signaling solutions, defining V&V plans, and coordinating with RAMS, Engineering, and external suppliers in a fast-paced environment.

• Up to 5 years of RAMS and/or V&V experience.
• Availability to short travels.
• Proficiency in Testing and Validation Process for complex systems, preferably of railway systems in compliance with EN50128.

Responsabilidades

• Guarantee delivery of system and subsystem Signalling solution in compliance with requirements, and in accordance with quality, project schedule and budget.
• Guarantee the definition of the Signalling system and subsystem Validation Test Specification and the implementation of the Signalling system and subsystem V&V activities according to RAMS governance and Company processes.
• Guarantee delivery of project V&V documents at Signalling system and subsystem level in cooperation with RAMS, Engineering, O&M and external suppliers.
• Support V&V activities through participation to projects, bidding and delivery phases: Signalling system and subsystem V&V planning, design reviews with suppliers, field tests.
• Support that subsystems suppliers provide V&V evidence.
• Guarantee the delivery of the Signalling system and subsystem V&V report.
• Ensure independence in the definition and implementation of the Signalling system and subsystem V&V activities in compliance with standards and SILs.
• Provide technical support to RAMS Managers for interface with Independent Safety Assessor, Employer and External Authorities.
• Provide schedule and cost progress to RAMS Manager.
• Define requirements for testing environments/tools needed for Signalling system and subsystem Validation.

Accountabilities

• Guarantee delivery of system and subsystem Signalling solution in compliance with Signalling system and subsystem requirements, and in accordance with quality, project schedule and budget
• Guarantee the definition of the Signalling system and subsystem Validation Test Specification and the implementation of the Signalling system and subsystem V&V activities according to the RAMS governance directions and to the Company processes and guidelines.
• Guarantee delivery of project V&V documents at Signalling system and subsystem level in cooperation with the other RAMS functions, Engineering, Operation & Maintenance and external suppliers.
• Support V&V activities through participation to projects, bidding and delivery phases: Signalling system and subsystem V&V planning, attendance to design reviews with suppliers, attendance to the field tests.
• Support that subsystems suppliers provide V&V evidence.
• Guarantee the delivery of the Signalling system and subsystem V&V report
• Ensure the proper level of independence in the definition and implementation of the Signalling system and subsystem V&V activities in compliance with applicable standards and SILs.
• Ensure technical support to RAMS Managers for management and interface of Independent Safety Assessor, Employer and External Authorities.
• Ensure the provision of schedule and cost progress to relevant RAMS Manager
• Ensure the definition of the requirements and expected features for the testing environments/tools, needed to execute the Signalling system and subsystem Validation activities.

Required Skills/ Knowledge

• Compliance with project schedules
• Cost and quality of deliverables (based on respect of budget and approval or number of non compliance of Client/Assessor)
• Effective support to PE/WPL SIG / RAMS Manager/SiG RAMS
• Up to 5 years of RAMS and/or V&V experience
• Availability to short travels
• Desired past experience with in testing and validation activities of ERTMS systems
• Proficiency in application of Testing and Validation Process for complex systems, preferably of railway systems in compliance with the processes defined in EN50128

Education/Qualifications

• Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology

Languages

• Fluent Knowledge of English (written & spoken).

Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B1, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale. Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 33.000€ e 38.000€.
