Equipment Sales Engineer - Tuscany

MTA member of Trane Technologies Group is hiring an Equipment Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing trusting customer relationships and maximizing account share and customer retention with building owner accounts for the Tuscany region. The role includes the responsibility to grow the business with an end-users focus. The ideal location of the candidate will be Tuscany (Florence, Prato or Siena).

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day selling activities include identifying sales opportunities, qualifying them, partnering with Application and Quotation for proposal creation in line with company terms and conditions in collaboration with legal and finance departments, presentation to customers, negotiating price levels and terms and conditions within company guidelines and assigned limits, acquiring orders, following up.
  • Achieve assigned sales and customer development quota through focus on Industrial customer acquisition and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments and employees to develop the best total solution for the customer, addressing their requirements and continuously growing the level of customer satisfaction in the assigned territory, ensuring an overall superb customer experience. Identify and communicate services opportunities.
  • Encourage customer growth and loyalty through continuous support and customer assistance.
  • Properly maintain and timely update all internal systems, including customer database, opportunity pipeline, etc. and regularly report to the management on key metrics.
  • Constantly monitor market trends and benchmark against competitors in the assigned territory, feed this information back to the management.
  • Act in compliance with the company policies, processes and procedures.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards of doing business and unconditionally following the company Ethics and Compliance rules.
Requirements
  • Technical High School Diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy), university degree would be considered a plus.
  • Proven experience (at least 2/3 years) in technical sales, preferably in Industrial Process Cooling/ Compressed Air or HVAC area e.g., chillers, heat pumps etc.
  • Self-motivated candidate with a hunter mind-set and a willingness to overachieve sales target and build lasting relationship with customers.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills, along with high integrity and capacity to deal with changing priorities.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, particularly empathy, will be considered a 'must-have'.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, completing tasks with minimal guidance. Highly autonomous and organized, capable of working remotely and from home. Travelling majority of the time within the specific area of responsibility.
  • Fluent Italian and communicative English at least B1.
  • Preferably resident in Florence, Prato or Siena area.
