Trane Italia is hiring an Equipment Sales Area Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing trusting customer relationships and maximizing account share and customer retention with building owner accounts for the Triveneto area. The role includes growing the business with existing Agents, which is instrumental from a market penetration perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day selling activities, including identifying sales opportunities, qualifying them, collaborating with Application and Quotation teams for proposal creation, presenting to customers, following up, negotiating prices and terms within company guidelines, and acquiring orders.
- Achieve sales and customer development quotas, focusing on commercial customer acquisition and growth.
- Collaborate with other departments to develop optimal solutions for customers, enhancing customer satisfaction and experience.
- Grow business with existing Agents and develop long-term relationships, providing sales leadership across processes.
- Ensure effective collaboration between Agents to offer comprehensive solutions.
- Support customer growth and loyalty through ongoing assistance.
- Develop contract proposals aligned with company terms, working with legal teams.
- Identify and communicate service opportunities.
- Maintain and update internal systems, report key metrics to management.
- Monitor market trends and competitors, providing feedback to management.
- Participate in marketing activities like exhibitions and events, if necessary.
- Comply with company policies, processes, and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Technical Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or Aeronautic Engineering.
- Proven experience (at least 5-6 years) in technical sales, managing external agencies, preferably in HVAC (e.g., chillers, heat pumps).
- Self-motivated with a hunter mindset, eager to exceed sales targets and build lasting customer relationships.
- Strong communication, collaboration, influencing skills, high integrity, and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently, remotely, and from home; highly organized. Position involves 70% field trips within the area.
- Fluent in Italian and conversational in English.
