A leading global insurer is seeking an Environmental Risks Underwriter in Milan to enhance their business. The ideal candidate will conduct risk assessments, manage client relationships, and ensure sound underwriting practices. This role requires strong communication skills and a background in environmental insurance.

• At least 1 year experience in Environmental Risks Underwriting.
• Fluent spoken and written English skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the business
• Train, educate, and support clients/brokers about environmental risks
• Conduct risk assessments (environmental review of the risk - source / pathway / receptors, environmental legal exposure, prevention, etc.) and rate the risk
• Quote EIL new business from a profitability perspective
• Renew existing EIL business and drive corrective actions
• Ensure the underwriting rationale is sound and documented in the files
• Draft comprehensive referrals with the aim of obtaining a straightforward approval
• Manage client-facing activities and broker network to support sales and develop the business across Italy
• Manage the renewal of complex risks

Qualifications

• Experience as an Environmental Risks Underwriter (at least 1 year)
• Background in insurance and/or environmental fields
• Strong communication and sales skills
• Fluent spoken and written English skills
