Job summary

Lavazza Group, Turin HQ, is seeking a sustainability intern to support Life Cycle Assessment studies, environmental footprinting and data-driven projects across our coffee products and packaging. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive measurable environmental improvements and report on KPI trends.

Ideal candidates are in a Master’s program or recent graduate in Environmental/Energy/Industrial/Chemical Engineering with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or final-year student in Environmental/Energy/Industrial/Chemical Engineering or similar.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative mindset with data interpretation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of LCA software (SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA) and data visualization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies and environmental footprinting across products, packaging, machines and supply chains.
  • Collect, analyze and validate environmental data for quantitative assessments and projects.
  • Monitor environmental KPIs and assist in preparing reports, presentations and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, R&D, Operations and Sustainability teams to drive environmental improvements.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking on sustainability methodologies and regulations.

Job description

Hi, You’ll join our Sustainability team at Nuvola, our HQ in Turin, where you'll support initiatives aimed at measuring, monitoring and reducing the environmental impact of our products and value chain. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll contribute to projects focused on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), environmental footprinting and sustainability performance improvement.

Your Day-to-day Activities
  • Support the development of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies and environmental footprinting activities across coffee products, packaging solutions, coffee machines and supply chains.
  • Collect, analyse and validate environmental data, contributing to quantitative assessments and sustainability projects that support business decision-making.
  • Monitor environmental KPIs and support the preparation of reports, presentations and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, R&D, Operations and Sustainability, to drive environmental improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking on sustainability methodologies, industry best practices and emerging environmental regulations.
Who We’re Looking For
  • You’re available for a 6-month full-time internship. Starting date: November 2026
  • You’re fluent in Italian and English
  • You have a Master’s degree (or you’re in your final year) in Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar technical/scientific disciplines.
  • You have a strong analytical and quantitative mindset.
  • You have good data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • You have advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of LCA software (e.g. SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA) and data visualization tools is considered a plus.
  • You are curious, proactive, detail-oriented and passionate about sustainability and environmental innovation.
