The Role:

The M&A Team in Italy is growing and looking for a motivated Consultant to join them!

The M&A team is currently experiencing significant growth in the market while servicing an existing large client base. Consultants work on a wide range of projects, including ESG management consultancy, advisory, and due diligence covering decarbonisation, EHS, climate risk, and social/human rights aspects.

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Due Diligence Consultant to support the delivery of EHS and ESG audits for clients in the financial services (including private equity) and corporate sectors (manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food, etc.), with a passion for sustainability.

Our office is in Milan, with flexible working arrangements. The role requires frequent travel within the country to project sites.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct environmental, health, and safety (EHS) audits to support mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and supply chain assessments.
  • Perform audits on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues to identify reputational risks and opportunities for sustainable development.
  • Support project managers with activities such as research, report writing, and proposal preparation.
  • Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including proposals.
About You:
  • Experience in EHS due diligence across EHS (HSE) and an interest or developing experience in sustainability disciplines (ESG) as a consultant.
  • A master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental management, or relevant disciplines.
  • Specialization in energy or civil engineering or experience in the sustainability/carbon sector is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Italian and English is required; knowledge of additional languages (French and/or Spanish) is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Italian Environmental and EHS legislation; familiarity with international EHS standards is advantageous.
  • Ability to multi-task, remain flexible, travel, and work independently.
  • Commitment to responsiveness and meeting project deadlines.
