AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Geologist. The Candidate will join the Environment Team that provides services on large-scale environmental and civil engineering projects. Our teams work on complex remediation projects, pulling the right resources from across the company to support project needs. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that will challenge you technically while giving you the opportunity to work with senior individuals with a variety of experiences. These opportunities will help your growth in this industry.

The successful candidate will develop a wide range of skills, with significant training and career possibilities and could expect to be involved in the following activities:

  • Supervision of field activities (surveys and tests, investigations, remediation works, etc.)
  • Monitoring and sampling of the environmental matrices (soil, groundwater, soil gas, etc.) adopting national and international recognized standards (US-EPA, ASTM, etc.)
  • Collection of geological, hydrogeological, and environmental data
  • Support on monitoring and maintenance of remediation systems and activities GIS management of environmental data
  • Elaboration and development of collected data with models (i.e. hydrogeological, hydraulic)
  • Processing and interpretation of data collected on site
  • Preparation, revision and updating of environmental technical reports
  • Contribute to design in remediation and environmental safety measures
  • Coordination of external collaborators and subcontractors
  • Support the PM and Project Team in the development of environmental project
  • Apply and encourage a high level of Health and Safety awareness and Quality management.

Qualifications

We are particularly looking for candidates with the following:

  • 0-2 years’ experience in consulting company and some fieldwork experience;
  • Fluency in Italian and English;
  • Interest in geotechnical, remediation and environmental projects;
  • Motivation, initiative and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Flexibility to promptly respond to the changing demands of projects and programs;
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and digitally ability to produce and understand written reports without consistent revisions;
  • Ability to maintain good records of site-based activities;
  • Strong attention to details;
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits;
  • Strong personal initiative and goal oriented;
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office suite, in particular Excel;
  • Licensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential).
