Join the Innovation and Sustainability Department

The job holder directs and manages the RdM Group's operational Risk Management and Risk Mitigation work. They manage the Group's Insurance policies and handle possible accidents/loss cases within the Group.

The role involves regular and proactive collaboration with the Group Operations Risk Manager to oversee the Loss Prevention program and suggest investment projects for Risk Mitigation based on priority.

The job requires close cooperation with the Group Internal Audit function to address legal compliance risks related to identified operational risks.

Accountabilities

1. Identify and quantify risks, including raw material supply continuity, environmental risks (e.g., water management, waste), cyber security, price volatility, climate change, etc.
2. Coordinate with the Internal Audit Department and other necessary departments to achieve desired performance in overall internal Risk Management and Risk mitigation plans.
3. Define and promote the implementation of mitigating actions throughout the operational organization, including investment suggestions.
4. Monitor risk status and report on the progress of the risk mitigation plan.
5. Manage and develop the Group Insurance policies in collaboration with the Finance, Operations, and the appointed Insurance Broker.
6. Manage the RdM Group's asset value appraisal process.
7. Handle possible loss cases in cooperation with the Insurance Broker and relevant Loss Adjusters.

Requirements

• Technical University Degree or equivalent business work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Risk Manager at an international company or consultancy specialized in Risk Management, or experience working with an Insurance Broker’s engineering function (professional Loss Adjustment experience is preferred).
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Essential qualities include self-awareness, professionalism, teamwork, accountability, relationship building, adaptability, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to travel.
• Residence near one of the 9 mills located in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, or the Netherlands.
