The Enterprise Applications Functional Analyst (SD/MM/PP) will engage directly with multiple cross-functional business teams to evaluate and deliver high-quality solutions which optimize and enhance the existing SAP S/4HANA system. This role is chiefly responsible for evaluating new enhancements and project requests and supporting the business to define their requirements. These activities will support the project prioritization for the portfolio, as well as solution design. This role has a high degree of user engagement to perform discovery requests and deliver solutions for new functionality. The role will also serve as lead on small to medium enhancement projects, orchestrating solution design, managing deadlines, managing business communication, providing status updates, researching and resolving production support issues, developing functional specifications from business requirements, coordinating development, providing technical support, and contributing to overall software architecture and process solutions for SAP PP, MM, & DM. The role will be responsible for the solution, design, system configuration, testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes business needs, documents requirements, and translates needs into functional, non-functional, and/or technical specifications. Performs analysis, and evaluates downstream business, systems, process, and/or organizational impacts.
- Provides subject matter expertise and production support to internal business partners on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for solving complex problems; design, configure, test, and implement solutions for SAP PP, MM, and DM.
- Elicits complete and thorough requirements from the business to ensure accurate level of effort estimations.
- Identifies all impacted functionalities, integrations, and processes when evaluating business requirements.
- Develops or assists in the development of work plans, time schedules, project task items, and assists with estimating resource needs for analysts, developers, business user personnel, and consultants.
- Collaborates with the enterprise development teams in order to achieve desired end-results on complex problems by delivering scalable business process solutions.
- Plans and assists with oversight of testing processes and activities including defect identification and resolution.
- Advises and consults business partners on the implications of standard or new SAP solutions that can be applied to a problem.
- Identifies risks and issues and seeks approval on complex matters.
- Documents high-quality training materials for business users.
- Builds strong working relationships with business partners.
Background
- Expertise as a functional analyst in design, delivery, integration, and support of PP, MM & DM SAP modules.
- Extensive knowledge of integration points across SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, PM, PP, and QM.
- Extensive experience in Production Planning, Logistics, Transportation, Logistics, and related Materials Management processes.
- Experience with S/4HANA and/or professional certifications preferred.
- Experience with EWM highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Production, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required.
- 5+ years hands-on implementation experience supporting PP, MM, and DM modules.
- 2+ years full life cycle implementations with focus on PP/MM.
- Related SAP certifications (SAP-PP,SAP-MM, SAP-Enterprise Architecture) and/or S4 highly desired.
- Strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions.

- Strong desire to solve complex business problems through understanding of business processes, ERP structure, and system capabilities.
