Overview

My English School is a communicative language school with a modern and open-space format, a motivating and friendly atmosphere, and a hands-on and student-centered approach. Since opening in Parma in 2016, the My English School team has taken pride in helping our students achieve real results in a setting that is both professional and fun. We are currently looking for experienced and aspiring teachers already based in Parma and the surrounding area to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Teaching small group / individual lessons for kids, teens, adults and business
• Regular testing of students
• Writing accurate and timely updates on student progress
• Creating and (eventually) leading extracurricular events and clubs
• Attending team meetings

Qualifications and Requirements

• A native or bilingual level of spoken and written English
• A driving license and own transportation
• TEFL or equivalent (or the willingness to obtain one whilst training on-the-job)
• A strong interest in helping others learn and succeed
• Excellent organisational skills and precision
• Enthusiasm, teamwork and a willingness to lend a hand when necessary
• Attention to detail
• Professionalism, punctuality and interpersonal respect
• Any prior experience in teaching, tutoring, coaching or mentoring
• Demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for working with young learners
• Work experience in the hospitality, service or creative industries
• A passion for something that you could share with the students
• An ability to speak in front of a group and think on your feet
• Teaching ESL for Young Learners: 2 years (preferred)
• English language required
• TEFL Certification (required)
• Driving License (required)
