Canonical is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and manage the software engineering team delivering OEM enablement projects for Ubuntu Desktop and Ubuntu Core.

You will require deep Linux knowledge, strong debugging skills, and proven management experience. The role includes coordinating with OEMs/ODMs, set priorities, and guiding cross-functional engineering efforts. Global travel is expected.

Competenze

• Bachelor (or higher) in STEM, preferably computer science or software engineering.
• Proven track record in technical roles with Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian.
• Commitment to development and testing methodologies, and maintainable code quality.
• Experience with management responsibilities.

• Collaborate with product engineering teams (Desktop, Foundations, Kernel, Security).
• Provide leadership for methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices.
