Job summary

PwC Milano seeks an engineering construction senior planner to manage and execute planning and reporting activities across projects of varying size and complexity, in coordination with the project control manager and in full compliance with contract, quality requirements, and the project execution plan.

The role involves leading the planning team, developing robust schedules, tracking milestones, and delivering insightful progress and risk analyses with corrective actions to maximize efficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide guidelines to the planning team for implementation of project control tools.
• Prepare the full set of planning procedures, WBS, schedules, and progress measurement systems.
• Develop and maintain planning documents such as execution plan, milestones plan, 90‑day schedule, WBS, top‑down schedule, detailed schedule, progress curves and manpower histograms.
• Lead project workshops on planning topics (WBS/PBS, interactive planning sessions, risk analysis sessions).
• Define planning report outputs and presentations, ensure consistency and review before distribution.
• Monitor baseline planning package, track deviations, perform critical path analysis and propose corrective actions.
• Control man‑hour expenditure, productivity trends and schedule deviations for all disciplines, vendors and subcontractors.
• Execute periodic schedule risk analyses using company software and support claim and contract management.
• Assist cost control, procurement and sub‑contracting teams with schedule compliance and cost projections.
• Lead the site planning team until full planning team mobilization is achieved.
• Collect and archive all planning data at project completion for future reference and lessons learned.
