Avio Aero in Brindisi is seeking an Engine Field Service Engineer to support military engine fleets, acting as a liaison between customers and company stakeholders and traveling to customer sites for on-field interventions.

The role combines front-line maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting, with requirements for EMAR licences, NATO clearance, and fluency in Italian and English; travel mainly in Italy is expected.

Competenze

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical High School Diploma with relevant experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of CT7/T700 and AE2100D engine families and interfaces.
  • Ability to autonomously perform hands-on maintenance (borescope, LRU replacement, module change).
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics of complex equipment.
  • Knowledge of configuration control rules and engine logbook data.
  • Ability to interpret engine nomenclature, publications, and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong MS Office skills and customer–focused mindset.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice, mainly within Italy.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; NATO security clearance eligibility; EMP/visa compliance.

Job Description Summary

As Engine Field Service Engineer you will be part of the Military Customer Support Organization in Brindisi. You will be responsible for providing support on technical and logistic aspects regarding military engine fleets and you will be the liaison between the Customers and relevant Company’s Stakeholders. As necessary, you will be required to travel at Customer’s premises to perform on-field technical interventions of short-medium period.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manage, as the back‑office primary point of contact for customers, CT7/T700 and AE2100D engines service‑related inquiries, issues and technical evidences arising from Operators and maintenance activities
  • Be accountable for Query and Answer response in a timely and efficient manner by collaborating with engineering teams to develop and implement solutions for complex technical problems and providing prompt feedback to Customer’s issues
  • Accomplish on-field technical interventions on CT7/T700 and AE2100D engine models when requested by the customers. Perform troubleshooting activities and plan the maintenance workscope
  • Perform the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities related to engine maintenance/repair
  • Autonomously execute maintenance operations tasks and makes evaluations of the collected results In technical manual
  • Perform engine borescope inspection
  • Compile technical report at the completion of each intervention activity
  • Being the Health and Safety coordinator during on‑site intervention
  • Act as Certifying Staff related to engine maintenance activities and issue release to service certificate
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical High School Diploma with previous solid experience in similar role
  • Thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance of turboshaft and turboprop engines, accessories, installations, control and monitoring systems as well as interfaces with airframe (CT7/T700 and AE2100D family engines is a plus)
  • Ability to autonomously carry‑on hands‑on maintenance activities, such as borescope inspection, LRU replacement, module change, etc…
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical scheme of complex equipment
  • Knowledge of configuration control rules, processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of Engine Logbook for consultation and analysis of Engine and Engine Parts data
  • Ability to read and understand Nomenclature Catalogues, engine Technical Publications, regulations and applicable procedures (maintenance manuals, parts catalog, calibration procedures) as well as Change Proposal, Technical disposition and Repair Schemes/Instruction
  • Ability to evaluate area of improvement of existing maintenance procedures
  • Strong MS Office knowledge
  • Strong Customer mindset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability to travel at short notice, mainly in Italy
  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Holder of EMAR 66 / AER(EP).P-66 MILITARY AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE LICENCE (B1/C) or EASA equivalent
  • Eligible for NATO Security Clearance
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Salary Range for this Role

42,225.00 - 56,300.00 euro + Performance‑related bonus + PDR up to 6000 euro

Compensation will be defined within the published salary range, reflecting the candidate’s experience, developed skills, and overall alignment with the role’s responsibilities.
