RINA is currently recruiting for an Energy Transition Technologies Project Manager to join its office in Genoa within the Energy Engineering Project Management Division.

Mission

RINA Consulting is a major worldwide player in engineering and consulting activities related to energy transition technologies. The energy engineering PM team drives the design of cutting-edge projects, from concept design to detail engineering, including:

  • several green H2 and NH3 production plants and transportation systems
  • H2 readiness assessments on existing assets
  • CO2 capture, utilization, transportation, and storage solutions
  • integrated solutions combining different technologies, from renewables to new vectors, on various applications onshore and offshore.

Key Accountabilities

Project Support:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining project plans, defining tasks, timelines, and milestones with the project team.
  • Update project trackers and reports regularly to inform stakeholders of project status.

Client Interaction:

  • Support client communication, providing updates as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Address client queries promptly and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Participate in client meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items.

Documentation:

  • Prepare and organize project documentation, ensuring records are accurate and accessible.
  • Track document versions and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Assist in creating reports and summaries for internal and client use.

Scheduling and Coordination:

  • Coordinate meetings, logistics, and distribute agendas and minutes.
  • Track project milestones and send reminders to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain and update the project calendar.

Budget and Risk Monitoring:

  • Support budget tracking through expense reports and cost analysis.
  • Identify potential budget variances and report them.
  • Monitor project risks, document in logs, and report findings for mitigation.

Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in quality checks on deliverables to meet standards.
  • Document and report quality issues or deviations.
  • Provide feedback on project process improvements.

Education

Master’s Degree in Energy or Chemical Engineering; Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Naval Engineering.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in an engineering or technical role, with cross-functional teamwork exposure preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Italian required.
  • Professional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles, including lifecycle, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Lean methodologies is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in teams and manage small projects or tasks.
  • Data analysis skills for project reporting and KPI interpretation.
