EMEA Sales Data & Analytics Specialist

The EMEA Sales Data & Analytics Specialist will join our EMEA Retail Excellence team, playing a key role in developing advanced analysis, machine learning models, and data visualization products. You will work across the entire retail business to optimize sales strategies, generate new business opportunities, and foster growth.

Main activities:

1. Develop and implement cutting-edge data science use cases covering the entire sales journey.
2. Utilize advanced analytics methods to extract insights from business data.
3. Create data-driven models and perform analysis to answer key business questions.
4. Formulate hypotheses and design experiments to uncover hidden relationships and inform new sales strategies.
5. Develop visualizations and presentations to influence stakeholders and support data science recommendations.
6. Build machine learning models to streamline sales processes.
7. Collaborate with teams across Marketing/CRM, IT, Reporting & Analytics to develop shared data products, dashboards, and advanced analyses.

Skills and Experience:

1. Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Computing, Engineering, or related fields.
2. 3-5 years of experience in data science projects, preferably within digital, customer, or retail contexts, including churn analytics, text analytics, sales forecasting, customer segmentation, and lifetime value modeling.
3. Experience with large language models or data governance/quality tools is a plus.
4. Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
5. Experience managing external resources for model development and analysis.
6. Open-mindedness, adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
8. Strong analytical, mathematical, and critical thinking skills, with effective communication abilities.
9. Proficiency in Office, especially Excel (pivot, macro, formulas), SQL, Python, Dax, PowerBI, and PowerPoint.
10. Knowledge of code versioning and testing.
11. Nice-to-have: familiarity with Dataiku and GCP tools.
12. Fluent in English.
