Job Opportunity: Embedded Software and Firmware Developer

In collaboration with Manpower, Fincantieri NexTech is seeking a Embedded Software and Firmware Developer to join our team in Padova.

Job Description

Within the Engineering function of Fincantieri NexTech, the candidate will design and develop application software in embedded environments and implement firmware on microcontrollers, with or without an operating system. The role reports directly to the Engineering Manager of the Digital Solutions Business Line.

Requirements

1. Proficiency in programming languages C/C#/C++ in Windows and Linux environments
2. Good knowledge of Python
3. Experience in software development for embedded applications
4. Experience in firmware development on microcontrollers (e.g., ST, Microchip)
5. Preferred but not mandatory:

• Knowledge of audio/video streaming applications
• Good understanding of Linux/Windows system environments

Additional Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role at organized companies, either national or international
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Strong interpersonal skills, analytical approach, problem-solving abilities, result-oriented mindset, teamwork capability, reliability, flexibility, and willingness to travel within Italy

Work Location

Padova, with frequent short to medium-term travel to clients, project sites, and other group company offices.
