Job summary

CAREL is seeking an Embedded Software Developer to join the Embedded Software Development team. The candidate will work on design, development and maintenance of software for embedded Linux targets on ARM for monitoring systems in the HVAC sector.

The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to improve and evolve products. A strong background in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Linux Bash is required along with knowledge of automated test frameworks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in a similar role.
• Degree in Computer Science / Informatics Engineering or similar.
• Good English level proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Experience in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Linux, Bash.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, Git and Web servers.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design, development and maintenance software for embedded Linux targets based on ARM architecture.
• Optimize software components to be scalable in different targets.
• Improve and manage input/output protocols to retrieve and send information.
• Collaborate with team members, with external partners and consultants to improve and evolve the products.
• Editing pre-development functional documentation.
